MADRID, May 2010 – TOSHIBA TEC announced on Wednesday it has named Angel de Juan as sales director for the Retail Division in Europe.

Reporting to Nobuhiko Takao, CEO of TOSHIBA TEC Europe, Angel de Juan will be responsible for sales leadership and strategic direction in the EMEA region.

Angel de Juan, 45, has more than 20 years of experience in technology sales at TOSHIBA TEC, the last 10 as branch manager for Spain and Portugal. He most recently served as EMEA sales director at TOSHIBA TEC Europe’s Auto ID & Printing division, where he helped build the company's new organization and market approach to value solutions selling.

Combining the European Auto ID & Printing Sales Director function with the Retail Division’s sales directorship, Angel will build on the existing synergies to maximize the commercial strategy of TOSHIBA TEC at a European level.

His appointment will strengthen TOSHIBA TEC’s focus in the retail automation and the Auto ID markets and extend the reach of TOSHIBA TEC branded products and solutions.

Nobuhiko Takao: “Angel oversaw the success of sales teams in Spain and Portugal while also meeting revenue goals and implementing tactical sales activities. Most recently, he served for two years as European sales director for the Auto ID & Printing Division where in addition to managing the company’s annual revenue production in the EMEA region.”

Angel is an Electronics and Telecom Engineer with a professional track record at Fortune 100 companies in the copier business, food retail and barcode printing technologies.

He joined TOSHIBA TEC Spain in 1995 as sales director before being promoted to head the commercial department; in 2000 Angel was named Branch Manager for Spain and Portugal. For the past two years, he was in charge of the Auto ID & Printing division in the EMEA region.
